Qualifications
As a mother of 3 grown women, I believe I have a strong
foundation in caring for and nurturing children. I began
childcare when I was 10 years old and have been caring for
and loving children ever since.  I started helping families as a
Postpartum Doula in 2000.

I have taken specialized training through DONA (Doulas of
North America) and also NAPCS (National Association of
Postpartum Care Services) for certification in both of these
organizations. This entailed having completed a
comprehensive course of study combined with specific
fieldwork, essays and final examination.

As a certified doula in DONA and NAPCS, I'm required to
take continuing education classes to keep my certification
current. This enables me to get the most updated information
available to the public. I re-certify yearly in adult, child & infant
CPR and every 3 years in first aid.  I'm also required to adhere
to a Code of Ethics set up by each of the organizations I
belong to.
